Kali (Indian Madhubani Folk Art)
Kālī, also known as Kālikā is a Hindu goddess.
Kali's earliest appearance is that of a destroyer principally of evil forces and the ego. She is seen as divine protector and the one who bestows moksha, or liberation.
For the average Indian Bengali child, Ma Kali symbolises Kali Pujo and Diwali and burning of fireworks and staying up late for the puja.
